1. How many volts/amps is the unit providing to the batteries?
The amps are given to each battery as they request it no more or no less. We are only charging when the batteries do not have any load on them so the take what they need to come back to a full charge.

2. I have a 24v trolling motor.  Which unit should I buy?
If you are not going to upgrade to a 36volt motor in the future then you will use the new 12/24 volt All Charge for charging from the outboard or a single bank charger from the dock or home.

3. I have a 36 v trolling motor and 3 batteries.  Can I use your unit?
Yes, you will need the All Charge 24/36 to charge from the outboard or a single bank charger from the dock or from home.

4. I have a 36v TM and 4 batteries.  Which unit should I buy?
You will need the  All Charge 24/36 to charge from the outboard or a single bank charger from the dock or from home.

5. Can I keep my onboard charger connected and still use the 24v All Charge?
With the new 12/24volt All Charge you do not have to unhook anything from the onboard charger to use the AC charger but we recommend that if you have a charger hooked to the All Charge input side and the output side that the charger on the input side should be unhooked or the input grey plug on the All Charge should be unplugged.  If using the Stayncharge Tow N Charge wiring harness the tow vehicle will always charge the starting battery on the boat first so there is no need to have an onboard charger hooked to the starting battery on the boat.

6. Can I keep my onboard charger connected and still use my 36v All Charge?
NO.  If the onboard charger is hooked to the input of the All Charge 24/36 and the outputs at the same time the All Charge will be inoperable.  If the onboard is only hooked to the three trolling batteries (and not the starting battery) then nothing has to be unhooked.

7. How does your product differ from Stealth, Minn Kota, Toll Bridge?
The Stayncharge systems work nothing like the Stealth, Minkota or the trolbridge.  These products either put all the batteries in parallel and charge them all at once or  charge the batteries in series at the same time(which is going to cause more heat in a battery compartment that already has too much heat). The Stayncharge systems only charges one battery at a time in two minute cycles which allows each battery to take the amps they require at a much higher rate than the others, and most importantly the Stayncharge systems never generate any heat

8. How long will it take to charge my trolling motor batteries while I am running on the water?
All situations are different , but after eleven years and thousands of units on the water, the best example we have is if you go out in the morning and your batteries are full, and you have a 150 or bigger outboard, for every hour you troll on high it will take 10 minutes to bring a 24volt system back to full. Now other companies will tell you that their systems will do this, regardless of the situation.    Every angler fishes differently and all motors and batteries are different, so the results may vary.  The most important thing to remember is  that  the Stayncharge products will give you more productive time on the water without worrying  about your batteries going dead.

9. Are the Stayncharge units water proof?
The Stayncharge units are water resistant however we do recommend not submersing them in water  for any length of time.

10. What is the optimal configuration to run? (ie. What onboard charger or portable)
Everyone has their  favorite make of AC charger that can be used with our products, but high dollar systems are not normally better then a single bank charger from Walmart or Sears, as long as it is a smart charger that automatically step down as the batteries  are brought up to a full charge.

11. Can the units overheat and cause a fire?
Our number one goal when designing the system was safety.  The systems have built in thermal protection, as well as circuit breakers that prevent them from ever having any heat problems.

12. Will my batteries charge quicker running through the All Charge and an external charger?
The All Charge is only as good as the charger you are using with it. Some AC units shut down when they read close to full charge and never come back on. The best alternative to using an external charger is to use the Stayncharge with the Tow N Charge and you should never need an AC charger.
