Welcome to Retrotec - Home of The All Charge and Stay'N'Charge

Never worry about charging your trolling motor batteries again!

Our small lightweight “smartbox” will actually charge your batteries using your boat or tow vehicles charging system while you are towing your boat down the road or while you are on the lake racing to your next fishing hole.

Our products are unlike anything else on the market. Not only will they allow you keep your batteries topped off all day and night while you are fishing but they will prolong the life of your battery by maintaining and conditioning them. Many anglers have even found that, with our units installed, they can downsize their batteries, reducing weight in their boat thereby increasing their top speed and reducing their fuel consumption.

Our chargers are not just limited to boating and marine applications. The United Stated Department of Defense has recently begun to use our wonderful charging devices to help keep their batteries charged in the field of battle.

Further more our chargers are being used in everything from electric wheel chairs to police cruisers for running extra batteries for computers and other devices law officials need on the streets.

If you have an application which uses a 12, 24 or 36 volt system, our chargers can keep you up and running indefinitely. Contact us and find out how.

Have a great day and Stay N Charge,

Stayncharge Army Quick Stow
24vdc to 24vdc Charging System

United Defense systems contacted Retrotec Inc. in 2006 looking for a system that would possible charge a new hydraulic system they were looking into to help our troops in the field. I drove to their Minnesota location and met with their engineers to see if we could come up with a charging system that would work in the field to charge the stand alone batteries for the new hydraulic pumping system for rocket launchers.

I went to our engineers that had designed all the Stayncharge products and within a few weeks we had a design we thought would work. I spent the next month going back and forth between our engineers and the United Defense people and we agreed on how the units would operate. We then built five proto types that would go through some pretty harsh environment and tough testing that would meet all the requirements of the United States Army and delivered them.

After tests that took over a year the units were approved by the Army, and after waiting for over three years to get the first purchase order of the new units in 2010 the Army has ordered units that are being delivered every month through the year 2011.

It is the biggest honor we could ever dream of, being a disabled American Soldier and building something that is helping our troops do their jobs better and much safer.
